some more pics from up above look at those little windows so cute

well the fake samba weve been doing so before i revial what she looks like in paint i thought i would post a few pics of what we started with
she is a south african panel van which had had windows cut in the roof and carravan windows in the side as you can see she looked pretty good till you looked close and you could see the roof was callapsing due to all the supports being cut out when the windows went in and no new supports being put in
so what have we done i here you say
well a short run down of the work so far
remove the roof and weld in propper samba window sections and supports
remove long panel and replace
replace arches
repair nose
weld in proper window sections all round
massive work to make doors line up
lots of chassis and outrigger work
not much realy

andys little blue poa we have done some paint work on at the msa classic run this year i couldnt attend the event this year but will definatly be trying to make it next year

matts beetle floor pan coming alone real nice after rejecting 2 new pans weve gone back to the og one although rusty was the better one after a clean up
and after jim has worked his magic and made and welding in some repairs sections it looks as good as new

an hour later some white has gone on next the roof

the samba is finally ready for paint only been nearly three years in the making and you can barly see all the work thats gone into it which is the point i suppose can you beleive this was a panel van when it came in !!!!!!

and weve been busy this week getting a bit done on the shop truck getting the front welded up and now the inner arches
should we keep her ratty or go for the ultra shine

truck truck is on ebay for sale a sad day but more projects to get on with

been in for a mild resto and all new running gear all tweaked a bit to get a little closer to that tarmac

Well after a couple more hours the puck was picked by a lovly aa man see me and sky the dog shot back to wales in the truck with out a problem.
What an eventfull day but thanks to all the people who helped get me home
And what a good weekend cheers to all the ssvc staff and helpers for a great show

So here's a pic on the m25
My mate el presidento neil stopped with a rope to pull me of but we can't move the puck but still nice to see a friendly face

So after a few hours a nice recovery driver comes to pick me up who was very excited about the truck he helped is brother in law run a drag bug can't remember the name but it looked awsome.
The first recovery lorry broke down 200 yards from me with loose wheel nuts ooops
So he takes me of the motor way and puts me in a lay by to await aa pick up so at least I can now sit in the truck

Well not been very good at updates latly have I been so busy helping the ssvc at shows and getting through the back log of work I've just not had time.
Any way last week end I went to brighton breeze what an awsome week end good turn of of very cool vans and even the rain didn't seem to put people of.
So all went well until me truck truck and the puck were traveling home we get to the m25 all going well then there is suddenly a que and a guy pulls in in front of me so I slam the brakes on few that was close. So we all start moving again puck dosnt feel right but I can't stop as there's no hard shoulder and can't see out of the windows as I have no heaters and the dog won't stop breathing and steaming up the windows. So a guy pulls in front of me in a little hatch back waving his arms like a banjee pull over pull over this don't look good .
So on the side of the m25 now and the nice man pulls in front of me and tells me the offside wheel on the puck is locked up.
So I ring the aa and wait in the rain got a good veiw of all the vans leaving the breeze.
